Covid-19 Policies for Physical Gatherings
**Updated August 17th, 2021 for the Delta Variant**
Hey everyone,
We are reinstating masking requirements at church, effective immediately. Unfortunately, Covid numbers have continued to climb and Delta has become more than the short-lived blip that I and others hoped it would be. We have been fortunate thus far not to have any infections in our church of which I am aware. After watching the case numbers rise, hearing some reports of breakthrough infections at other churches (one of which I know required hospitalization), and kids going back to school with some spread occurring through that, we're going back to requiring masks. This applies to all adults, to kids depending on their developmental ability, and it will be in place at official church functions (worship, small groups/Sunday School, committee/Admin council meetings, etc.) for the immediate future. This won't be forever, and keep praying that Covid numbers go down in our area, state, nation, and world. When things start looking better concerning Covid, we hope to relax some of these requirements. I know there are no perfect solutions that will satisfy everyone, but I pray you'll be gracious and understanding as we go forward concerning Covid and doing our best to protect people based on the information we have. Let's stay focused on the mission Jesus has given us of making disciples of him.
Thanks for doing what you do for Jesus and the church, and it's always a privilege to be your pastor.
Grace,
–Stephen
